Angie was born and raised in Houston, Tx. She dug into playing guitar in high school, and left at 18 to pursue music and travel. Although she only spent two years living in New Orleans, Angie Marie Go still finds the music and people she encountered there an integral part of her musicianship and creativity. Before songs, poetry filled her notepads and journals, and it’s evident by her lyricism. She is creative in every kind of facet, but music has always been her favorite outlet and initially survival tool.

Her indie-folk-rock sound has evolved over the years of bedroom demos and coffee shop shows. Growing up on 90s rock and 90s rap, her dreamy voice finds its place in pop-ish melodies. In 2010, she gathered a ten of her bedroom tapes, and released them in under the album “Nine Sounds of Yearning.” Since then she has released various singles and EPs that are precursors to the music she is recording. She loves featuring her favorite musicians as she has done in her EP “Flutterby” (2018) with singers such as Morgan Bosman, Jacee Badeaux, and violinist Laura Epling, and upright bassist Kori Caswell. Her ability to connect across songwriters and musicians, is a specific and exceptional skill.

Angie resides in Nashville, carving out songs within the songwriting communities and friends in town. She is set to release a dense EP in the summer of 2019, which she is most excited to have co-produced with Drew Swisher, co-writer, bassist, and composer himself. She cannot wait to show off the brilliant musicians of Nashville and set free some stories that have sat with her for years.
